Every Second Counts First Aid & Safety Training delivers high-quality, engaging, and interactive training across a wide range of essential courses, including Workplace & Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety, Infection Control, Basic Life Support, Automated External Defibrillator use, and Healthcare & Dental training. We believe that learning should be immersive and enjoyable, which is why we go beyond traditional PowerPoint-based teaching to provide hands-on, informative, and dynamic sessions tailored to your needs—all at competitive prices.
Founded in 2017 by Owain Williams, who transitioned into independent training after years as a first aid trainer and ambulance aider, our mission is to equip individuals with practical, life-saving skills in an engaging and supportive environment.
Looking ahead, we aim to expand our course offerings while continuing to foster a positive and effective learning experience. Beyond the classroom, we remain committed to supporting our trainees even after their courses conclude—through update videos, refresher sessions, and downloadable resource materials, ensuring their skills remain sharp and their confidence stays strong throughout their certification period.
Hi, I’m Owain, Trainer and Director of Every Second Counts.
With over 30 years of experience in first aid through my work with the British Red Cross, I’ve developed extensive expertise in handling medical emergencies. I hold qualifications up to Ambulance Aid Level 2 and have assisted countless individuals in both medical and first-aid crises. Throughout my career, I’ve been called upon at major events, coordinating incident responses with precision and care. My background in the care sector has further deepened my understanding of medical and mental health challenges, enabling me to bring a wealth of real-world experience into my training.
My passion lies in delivering fun, engaging, and up-to-date first aid courses that not only educate but also empower people with essential life-saving skills.
I currently live in Manchester with my partner but frequently return to my home village of Abercynon in South Wales to visit family. I’m a proud father of three adult children, and I cherish spending time with them exploring the Welsh valleys on long walks. Outside of work, I dedicate time to volunteering with a local charity that supports job seekers and indulge in cooking traditional Welsh dishes like Glamorganshire sausage and Welsh rarebit.
