Every Second Counts First Aid & Safety Training delivers high-quality, engaging, and interactive training across a wide range of essential courses, including Workplace & Paediatric First Aid, Health & Safety, Infection Control, Basic Life Support, Automated External Defibrillator use, and Healthcare & Dental training. We believe that learning should be immersive and enjoyable, which is why we go beyond traditional PowerPoint-based teaching to provide hands-on, informative, and dynamic sessions tailored to your needs—all at competitive prices.
Founded in 2017 by Owain Williams, who transitioned into independent training after years as a first aid trainer and ambulance aider, our mission is to equip individuals with practical, life-saving skills in an engaging and supportive environment.
Looking ahead, we aim to expand our course offerings while continuing to foster a positive and effective learning experience. Beyond the classroom, we remain committed to supporting our trainees even after their courses conclude—through update videos, refresher sessions, and downloadable resource materials, ensuring their skills remain sharp and their confidence stays strong throughout their certification period.

Hi, I’m Owain, Trainer and Director of Every Second Counts & Award-Winning First Aid Instructor.
With over 30 years of first aid experience through my work with the British Red Cross, I bring a deep, practical understanding of how to respond effectively in real medical emergencies. I have held qualifications up to Ambulance Aid Level 2 (Emergency Ambulance Attendant) and Emergency Medical Technician, and I’ve supported countless individuals during both medical and first-aid incidents. Over the years, I’ve been called upon at major events to coordinate incident responses with accuracy, calmness, and care — experience that directly shapes the high‑quality, confidence‑building training I deliver today.
My background in the care and ambulance sectors has strengthened my knowledge of medical and mental health challenges, allowing me to deliver first aid courses that are not only compliant but grounded in real‑world scenarios. This ensures learners gain confidence, practical skills, and the ability to act quickly when it matters most.
In 2025, I was honoured to receive ProTrainings’ Instructor of the Year Award, recognising my commitment to delivering engaging, up‑to‑date, and empowering first aid training across the UK.
I’m passionate about making first aid accessible, enjoyable, and memorable. Whether I’m teaching paediatric first aid, workplace first aid, or specialist courses for dental and healthcare teams, my goal is always the same: to give people the skills and confidence to save lives.
I currently live in Manchester with my partner, but I regularly return to my home village of Abercynon in South Wales to visit family. I’m a proud father of three adult children, and I love exploring the Welsh valleys with them on long walks. Outside of training, I volunteer with a local charity supporting job seekers, and I enjoy cooking traditional Welsh dishes such as Glamorganshire sausage and Welsh rarebit.
